Story:

This song was written a little over a year ago and I was expressing my view of humanity and myself with some opinion of how things should be looked at and what I needed as well.

Take me down to the river
Help me cleanse my soul
Put my head in the water
Try to make me whole
Grant me life everlasting, if you really think it can be mine
If I live a long life, wanna know I didn’t waste my time!

Everyday I’m reminded
Of how fragile we all are
Attached to our cell phones
Just can’t live without a car
We shop on our computers
But we still have to drive to a bar
If we had to live without it all, I don’t really think we’d get too far.

Cause you know we’re not alone
Everyone is known
We’re all each others brothers
We’re all each others home
So try to live a good life
Do the best you can
And if you have a good wife
Show her you’re her man

We raise up our children
Try to teach them good from bad
Try to give them all the things that we never had
Try to teach them that knowledge is really their best tool
Just to keep them from being someone else’s fool!

So take me down to the river

Don’t wanna see the end just yet,
