Brad Catron
After decades of being the guitarist behind artists like Oletta Adams, Gato Babieri, The late Grover Washington Jr., Ricky Peterson, Gino Vanilli, Dave Sanborn, George Porter Bassist for the Meters, The Fifth Dimension, Roy Ayers, and the late great Phyliss Hyman, just to name a few, Brad has come out with his first CD as a leader.
This CD, in the smooth jazz realm, has a unique flavour of jazz, new age, and a touch of new orleans funk, where Brad lived for 10 years, playing with everyone from the Neville Brothers members, Jimmy Singleton, Johnny Vidochavich, Charlie Brent and The New Orleans Staple of Hard Smokin' Blues, Luther Kent and Trick Bag, and finally, working with legendary producer and songwriter, Allen Toussaint.
As a native New Yorker, Brad cut his teeth in the studios of New York doing every kind of session you could imagine, from Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Burger King, McDonald's and Toyota radio spots during the day, to more than likely find him in the orchestra of anyone of 20 different Broadway shows such as Evita, Cats, Your Arms are Too Short to Box with God, Pippin and occasionally off Broadway revamped shows like Grease, Godspell, West Side Story and so on.
