Blues Jam - every Wednesday; Living Room Live - every Thursday

Our weekly Blues Jam hits the stage every Wednesday night and our award winning open mic a.k.a "Living Room Live" takes place every Thursday night. And unlike our ticketed weekend shows, these nights are always free!

Wednesday Blues

Our weekly Blues Jam is hosted by 2 Bay Area gems - every 1st and 3rd Wednesday, you can find TC Carr sharing the stage with his Bolts of Blue Band and every 2nd and 4th, the Betty Fox Band, just named the 2014 Best of the Bay's "Best Local Blues Band" brings the blues and invites other well revered local players up to join in on the jam. If a 5th Wednesday is on the calendar, then you get something really special - a blend of TC Carr's Bolts of Blue Band & Betty Fox's Band. Whatever the case may be, Wednesdays are filled with some of the area's finest talent, so come on out and be a part of something great! Doors open at 6. Show starts at 7:30.

We invite all singer/songwriters and music lovers to join us every Thursday night for our open mic night, a.k.a. Living Room Live. Just named Creative Loafing's Best of the Bay 2014 for "Best Open Mic Night", the Hideaway Cafe has opened up its doors and its stage for the past 6 years to countless rising talents as well as seasoned veterans who have made a career of music.

Host John Kelly, a singer/songwriter himself, started this weekly tradition 6 years ago after building a stage as an extension of the recording studio. And the rest is history. The talent has been immense, the highlight reel endless... and the memories priceless. The collaborations credited to a chance meeting on this special night range from duos to bands to marriages!

You won't find a more appreciative audience than you will here at St Petersburg's Original Listening Room!

The board opens starting at 6pm for singer/songwriters to sign up to take the stage to share 2-3 original songs and then "pass the mic" so to speak. Music starts at 7.

Hideaway Cafe would like to extend a big "Thank You" to James Anderson for his fine photography!
