Ellis Paul this Friday!! Online sales are happenin' so get 'em quick!

"Ellis Paul is one of the leading voices in American songwriting. He was a principle leader in the wave of singer/songwriters that emerged from the Boston folk scene, creating a movement that revitalized the national acoustic circuit with an urban, literate, folk pop style that helped renew interest in the genre in the 1990's.

His charismatic, personally authentic performance style has influenced a generation of artists away from the artifice of pop, and closer towards the realness of folk. Though he remains among the most pop-friendly of today's singer-songwriters - his songs regularly appear in hit movie and TV soundtracks - he has bridged the gulf between the modern folk sound and the populist traditions of Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger more successfully than perhaps any of his songwriting peers.

His skyrocketing career is still the stuff of legend in Boston folk circles; how quickly he climbed from opening act for the likes of Morrissey, Shawn Colvin, and John Gorka, to national headliner and recording star."

A word from John...

Hey guys, we have another big week this week that I'm sure you won't want to miss. Our weekly free music nights... "Tuesday Jam" and Thursday "Living Room Live" will kick it off. Special guests, "The Iveys" will make a pit stop this Thursday for a short set during the night. This family trio is really something. They stopped in some months ago and are making another stop on this leg of their tour. So all you singer-songwriters and musicians, come on out and share some of that talent. We'd love to have ya.

This Friday we welcome Ellis Paul to the Hideaway stage. We're very excited to have Ellis here and can't wait to hear him in such an intimate setting. If you haven't reserved your seat, it's not too late. Tickets are $25 plus tax and can be purchased here. Don't miss your chance to catch this incredible artist this Friday night. Doors open at 6:00 PM and Ellis will play two sets beginning at 8:00 PM.

I want to thank Justin Beckler and Rebekah Pulley for an incredible night this past Friday. What a show! Justin, you're welcome back any time... A special thanks to Rob and Tammy Rehnke for sponsoring this show (and hooking up the early folks with pizza - you rock)!

Still waiting to hear some news from Christian. I will let you know as soon as we hear something. Thank you all again for your generous support last week. Let's keep praying for them both.

All for now... Cheers! john
