2010 at The Hideaway Cafe!
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are ready for 2010. We're kicking things off this year with our weekly Tuesday Jam followed by another installment of our "First Wednesday Jazz" night featuring the Woodshed Band this Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased at the door only. (Doors open at 6:00 PM)
For all our singer songwriters and devoted music appreciators, join us this Thursday for 2010's first "Living Room Live". If you're new to the Hideaway, you won't want to miss this weekly event. Some of the areas finest singer songwriters will take the stage, in turn, for a few original tunes that you're likely not to hear in as intimate a setting.
Join us for another visit from Rebekah Pulley with Hymn For Her this Friday night, January 8th. Doors open at 6:00 PM and music begins around 8:00 PM. Tickets for this show are $10.
You won't want to miss this line-up. We had the pleasure of having Rebekah play here back in October and this place was frozen to her beautiful voice and diverse music. And we can't wait to see what Hymn For Her will bring to the Hideaway.
This year brings some exciting talent our way with artists such as Glenn Phillips, Vienna Teng and Ellis Paul.. to name a few. So please keep an eye on our events page and make sure you get tickets for these incredible artists. We're also very excited to welcome back a few that have carved a special niche here at The Hideaway... laying down the foundation that I hope will be what keeps us going for a long time, namely and beginning this month, The Sarah Mac Band, Pete Merrigan, Bryan Elijah Smith and Dustin Overbeek.
To all our regulars, both artists and audience, we would like to say "thank you" for your support. I hope the Hideaway has given you artists a chance to get your music out there in a place where the audience tends to want to listen. And to YOU, our audience.. THANK YOU for listening. I hope you'll continue to join us every Tuesday and Thursday for something we hope is a bit different in the way of "live entertainment". Or maybe not so different in design but a bit more attention to the point.
All for now... Cheers! john
