What A Weekend!!!
The Hideaway Cafe had another great stretch of music the past couple of weeks... I would like to thank all of you who came out to support us and the incredible talent that's been walking through our doors. Thanks again to Ellis Paul last week... (what a show), The Ivey's (thanks for dropping in again guys - awesome), Dustin Overbeek and Bryan Elijah Smith this past Friday - another great bill here at The Hideaway, Glen Phillips and Vienna Teng yesterday for two wonderful (and packed) houses and to all our weekly singer songwriters who come out week after week to share their music with us... Thank you!
It seems like folks are getting to know us and the fine music we've been lucky enough to bring in and I can't tell you what an honor it is to play host to these fine singer/songwriters. Nicole and I met in the early 90's in Nashville where she introduced me to Toad The Wet Sprocket. We've followed Glen's career over the years and have worn out just about every Toad CD we had - and to have him play in our little "Hideaway" some 15 years later is really quite special for us. The idea of The Hideaway Cafe is really playing out and we can't tell you how grateful we are. Thanks to everyone who helped us yesterday especially Dustin and Lauren and again, thank you Glen and Vienna for a night to remember.
I hope you'll continue to drop in and support both our local and national artists here at The Hideaway and we'll do our best to continue to bring you the level of music you've come to expect.
Check out our schedule to the left for March... great stuff coming up (which we will be editing and adding to shortly) so please come on out and enjoy some top shelf, original music at The Hideaway Cafe...
All for now, cheers! john
